Overview

La anatomía es la ciencia que estudia la forma, la estructura del cuerpo humano a lo largo de su ciclo vital. Deriva, etimológicamente, del griego "tomos" (cortar) y "ana" (repetir); es decir, de la repetición de cortes efectuados en la disección de cadáveres. De las diversas ramas de la anatomía, este libro se centra en la anatomía descriptiva y la funcional. Este texto es una guía anatómica del alumno para la profundización en el conocimiento del cuerpo humano, la motricidad y el movimiento deportivo. Este manual es el soporte que el alumno necesita en el currículum del conocimiento de la anatomía humana en las ciencias de la actividad física y deportiva. Para ello, al principio del estudio de cada capítulo y de cada apartado, existen unos esquemas que guían el análisis anatómico posterior. Este manual-guía del estudiante de anatomía se presenta siguiendo los objetivos del curso. Las generalidades familiarizarán al alumnado con los primeros conceptos anatómicos, mostrando las globalidades óseas, articulares y musculares existentes en el estudio general de la anatomía. El segundo capítulo prosigue con el estudio exhaustivo del tronco. El tercero y cuarto profundizan en el estudio anatómico del miembro superior e inferior. El quinto presenta el sistema cardiorrespiratorio como sistema anatómico de conocimiento troncal en estos estudios y nos adentra en el estudio orgánico del ser humano.

Es innegable la importancia en la práctica médica actual de los métodos de Diagnóstico por Imágenes, los cuales, solicitados e interpretados con criterio, aportan valiosa información tanto para el diagnóstico como para la guía terapéutica de diversas patologías. Desde el advenimiento de la Cirugía Mínimamente Invasiva, los cirujanos de las distintas ramas deben conocer, manejar y apoyarse cada día más en ellas para realizar un correcto planeamiento del procedimiento a realizar. Actualmente se realizan gran cantidad de cirugías guiadas por imágenes en tiempo real, lo cual lleva a que el cirujano que no sepa interpretarlas no tenga la destreza para poder realizar un correcto acto quirúrgico. En este tomo se incluye la sección de hígado, en la que abordaremos el estudio de este órgano con los distintos métodos de Diagnóstico por Imágenes y los algoritmos para optimizar la selección de estudios a utilizar. En sección de vesícula y vías biliares veremos la importancia vital de la ultrasonografía como método inicial de diagnóstico en la patología biliar y cómo seguir luego ahondando con métodos de mayor complejidad acorde a la patología a estudiar. En la sección de páncreas analizaremos el diagnóstico de una patología de cotidiana y a veces compleja como la pancreatitis aguda, entidad que plantea muchas veces desafíos importantes tanto para su diagnóstico como para su tratamiento. También nos centraremos en la patología maligna pancreática, donde los métodos actuales nos permiten decidir con bastante certeza cuáles pacientes son candidatos a resecciones quirúrgicas y cuáles a procedimientos paliativos.
